Centurion readers rate their top metropolises in Asia

Readers voted on the city they consider to be Asia's most exciting urban destination

For our latest Centurion survey, readers sounded off on Asia's most exciting urban destinations. Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore and Beijing ran a close race, but the big business and culture mainstays of Tokyo and Hong Kong pulled further ahead – with Hong Kong landing the top score at 25%.

Among the 8% of respondents who chose to fill in the blank, Shanghai made a strong showing, as did a few more emerging island-based destinations like Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.

In our latest survey, we asked Centurions to tell us what Old World cities are on their radar right now. London came out on top at 21%, but nearly a fourth of respondents filled in the blank with their own favourite cities. Berlin, Copenhagen, Prague and Vienna made a strong showing, as did Madrid – with one voter declaring that it's "so underrated". Another respondent said Helsinki should be on the roster with its unique vibe and delectable honey vodka, while a fashion fiend swore that at least one shopping trip to Milan per year is a must.
