Germany's burgeoning – and somewhat bohemian – capital, Berlin, has bagged British brand Mulberry as the latest member of its luxury team lineup. Mulberry's move to the metropolis is the first step in the brand's plan to set up stores in leading European cities, with Berlin being the label's first-ever store on German soil.

To mark the opening occasion, the fashionistas' favourite, the Willow Tote, has undergone a transformation into biscuit brown alligator and is stocked as a retail exclusive, making a spontaneous trip to the German capital an all-too-tempting proposition.

In recent weeks, two continents have welcomed the arrival Ermenegildo Zegna flagship boutiques with openings in Lagos, Nigeria and Brisbane, Australia. At the Nigerian flagship in Victoria Island, Lagos, the inners of the store were designed by Milan-based architects Studio Beretta, stamping the store with Milanese style while retaining the Ermenegildo Zegna elegance ethos. 155 sq m make for ample browsing space, and the Su Misura made-to-measure service with its dedicated fitting room elevates the shopping experience.

Spanning a slightly larger area of 260 sq m is the Brisbane store, where all the expected luxury services and collections are present in full force – from tailoring to fragrances. The eye-catching element, though, is the green ceramic floor that immediately announces the stylistic signature of architect Peter Marino, the mastermind behind the global stores' creative concept.
