Louis Vuitton takes its extensive design savoir-faire to the open road in its recent collaboration with Singer, the Californian atelier known for its ultra-custom restorations of classic Porsche 911s. The marques joined forces to reimagine two vehicles – one with a Type 964 coupé chassis, dubbed “Classic” and the other, “Classic Turbo”, a Type 964 cabriolet chassis – with bespoke Louis Vuitton details. The elements redesigned include the instrument display, embossed seats, custom exterior treatments and a detachable dashboard clock created by Swiss atelier La Fabrique du Temps. The partnership involved every Louis Vuitton department, from leather artisans to trunkmakers, and the Classic even includes a specially designed roof rack that can accommodate a trunk, a surfboard or a pair of skis.

Noted Venetian glassmaker Venini’s latest release is the Cilindro con Piatto Incalmato collection, a selection of broad-rimmed vases that embody the elevated craftsmanship and future-looking style for which the house is known. The series makes skilful use of complex Venetian tradition to bring the fresh vision of architect Peter Marino to life in two colourways: one transparent and green, and one incorporating a glittering sheet of gold leaf. Empty or filled with flowers, they provide distinctively chic adornment for any home.

Rome-based design studio Zuccon International Project – well known for its yachts – and Italian luxury furniture brand Baxter have completed Villa 375 South, bringing unmistakable Italian style to Miami’s Hibiscus Island neighbourhood. The home pairs minimalist architecture that promotes indoor-outdoor living with warm, layered interiors, combining natural materials and bespoke furnishings. Italian linen specialist Frette contributed custom textiles and objets d’art, while site-specific artworks by Alice Corbetta – including pieces created from Baxter leather offcuts – reinforce the project’s celebration of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary design.

The latest property in the Fontenille collection, the Château de Cîteaux, is set to open in the winemaking village of Meursault in Burgundy on 24 July. The 19th-century structure will host 35 rooms and suites, a modern spa and a resplendent Burgundian restaurant above some of the region’s oldest Cistercian wine cellars. Naturally, the hotel will cater to oenophiles with visits to historic cellars, tastings and meetings with local viticulturists – and now's the perfect time to book for a photogenic jaunt to the famed gold-hued foliage of the Côte d’Or’s vineyards this autumn …

UMMI, a new dining pop-up at Tuscan castle stay Castelfalfi, explores an unlikely connection between the historic Italian region and Lebanon. In the 1600s, Lebanese Emir Fakhr al-Din II –known locally as Faccardino – spent several years in Tuscany under the protection of Cosimo II de’ Medici. Fêted chef Hussein Hadid worked with executive chef Davide De Simone to create this refined gastro-cultural dialogue, served on the medieval castle’s Medici Terrace. Open to hotel guests and outside visitors, expect za’atar, extra-virgin olive oil and a convivial, history-rich ambience.
